Key responsibilities may include:
- Entering employee information into the HR and payroll system, including personal details, employment status, and salary changes.
- Maintaining accurate employee files, both digital and physical, including timesheets, leave requests, and performance evaluations.
- Updating employee benefits information and tracking changes.
- Collecting and verifying timecards and attendance records.
- Calculating employee pay based on hours worked, pay rates, and deductions.
- Assisting with new employee onboarding procedures, including paperwork and orientation.
- Managing employee leave requests and tracking vacation time.
- Processing employee terminations and associated paperwork.
- Answering employee inquiries regarding HR policies and benefits.
- General office support
Required Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR/payroll software
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive employee data
- Basic understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Communication skills to interact effectively with employees and HR team members
